Norm has been with The Jackson Laboratory for 24 years and possesses a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine (1993). Norm is responsible for The Jackson Laboratory’s campus mechanical/electrical systems design, specification, and performance as well as large capital project planning, design and construction. JAX’s site is comprised of animal research and production facilities, biomedical research laboratories, and administrative office areas encompassing 45 buildings totaling over 1 million square feet in Maine, 189,000 square feet in Connecticut and 224,000 square feet in California Norm provides project planning, client programming services, construction administration, and mechanical and electrical engineering support services for capital projects up to $260 million in value.
Norm was the lead facilities engineer and project manager for JAX’s 1200 BHP pellet fired combined heat and power plant on the Bar Harbor campus, JAX’s California animal production facility project and JAX’s recent Ellsworth, Maine animal production facility project.
