James is an accomplished CTO and applied A.I. expert. He currently serves as the Presidential Innovation Fellow for NASA Aeronautics, helping develop sustainable, next-generation aviation and artificial intelligence solutions, while also co-hosting the NASA Ecosystemic Futures podcast. Prior to his work at NASA, James served as a technology executive and advisor for several startups in healthcare, cryptography, workplace equity, and online education. His educational A.I. company was a semi-finalist in the global IBM A.I. X-Prize Competition. He has previously held policy roles at the White House, DOJ, and DOD. James holds several patents in cryptography, an MPP and BS from the University of Virginia and is completing his MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
