Blake Harrington serves as the Facilities Project Manager at Texas Biomedical Research Institute on the Facilities Operations Team. Blake leads the Space Advisory Committee and helps the campus plan strategically to accommodate both employees and research animals. Blake has worked with nonhuman primates since 2004 and is actively involved in animal welfare as part of the facilities team. Blake has held positions of research assistant, research vet tech, environmental enrichment technician, animal behaviorist and animal care supervisor. Throughout his career, he has gained experience in biomedical research, research animal welfare and animal facility design. Blake received a B.S. degree in Zoology, studied biological anthropology at the graduate level and is certified as a laboratory animal technologist (LATG).
