Gina Chapa serves as the Director of Construction & Facility/Space Operations on the Facilities Operations Management Team. Gina is responsible for a growing number of projects and an administrative team that is transforming Texas Biomedical Research Institute as it experiences the most growth in its over-80-year history. With over 25 years of experience in commercial construction and managing critical infrastructure projects, Gina brings deep knowledge and broad skills to the Institute in key areas such as leadership, project management and construction management. At Texas Biomed, she’s helped oversee all aspects of large-scale construction and modernization projects involving animal welfare and research facilities, biosafety laboratories, scientific R&D space improvements and new wellness/medical/exercise areas.
