Global Director of Lighting Design
Karen is the global director of lighting design with HDR. She has been designing lighting for vivaria and other project types throughout her 35 years of industry experience. She serves a professional reviewer for the NIH DRM, chairs the IES Healthcare Committee, and was on the FGI Emergency Conditions Task force formed in response to the Covid Pandemic. Karen's career has been dedicated to the lighting industry, she has experienced the transition from T12 to T8 lamps, from magnetic to electronic ballasts, from fluorescent to LED technology, and the introduction of melonopic EDI. She looks forward to sharing her insights.
