Mary is currently the Billing and Special Services Manager at Brigham and Women's Hospital and has been working for the Research Administration group there since 2016. She started her career working at Mass General Hospital as a Research Animal Specialist, hungry with a desire to learn she took every opportunity to further her education and career. Training in Operational Excellence, working with USDA regulated species and helping to lead a team responsible for transportation of animals in the program, she was set up well to move into an administrative role with Brigham and Women's.
Since then, she has continued her pursuit of knowledge, learning as much as she can and wearing many hats throughout her career. Today as the Billing and Special Services Manager, a Yellow Belt in Lean Six Sigma and a Lab Animal Technologist (LATg) well versed in most things related to the Lab Animal Science field, she uses the many experiences and knowledge she has to better herself and her team.
In her spare time, Mary volunteers for the Vivarium Operational Excellence Network, serving as the Vice President currently, along with being the co-chair of the Membership Committee. In addition, she is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the New England Branch of AALAS, and serving as the Programs Committee Co-Chair. She is very passionate about giving back to the community and fostering relationships with those in her network and those she meets through her journeys volunteering.
